Sub: Selection for the post of Chairman & Managing Director , Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) in schedule “C” of the CPSE.

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) is seeking qualified candidates for the post of Chairman & Managing Director, Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) in schedule “C” of the CPSE, the scale of pay of the post being Rs.65,000-75,000/-(Revised). COMPANY PROFILE: Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) was incorporated under sector 25 of the Indian Companies Act, 1956 with the main objective of benefiting the disabled persons to the maximum extent possible through manufacture and supply of quality rehabilitation aids and appliances. ALIMCO is a Schedule ‘C’ CPSE in consumer goods sector under the administrative control of Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Its Registered and Corporate offices are at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The authorised and paid up capital of the Company is Rs. 3 crores and Rs. 1.965 crores respectively as on 31.3.2013. The shareholding of the Government of India in the company is 100%.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The Chairman and Managing Director is the Chief Executive of the Corporation and accountable to its Board of Directors and Government of India. He is responsible for the efficient functioning of the Corporation for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.

AGE : On the date of occurrence of vacancy.

  1. Minimum 40 years
  2. Not more than 58 years for internal candidates and not more than 57 years for others. The age of superannuation is 60 years.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE : The applicant should be a graduate from a recognized university/institution with good academic record. He should possess adequate experience at a senior level of management in a large organisation of good repute. Persons preferably with Technical /MBA qualifications and having experience in management and familiarity with Finance, Marketing/Production will have added advantage. Familiarity with manufacturing industry connected with artificial limbs is desirable.. Provided that minimum qualification is relaxable in the case of internal candidates and
Government Officers with relevant and adequate background and experience.

PAY SCALE : Central Public Sector Executives Executives holding posts in the pay scale of:

  1. Rs.6250-7475/-(pre 1.1.1992 scale) With
  2. Rs.8250 10050/- post 1.1.1992 scale) Industrial
  3. Rs.18500-23900(post 1.1.97 scale) DA
  4. Rs. 43,200 – 66,000/- (IDA)
  5. Rs.14300-18300- with Central DA. (pre-revised)
  6. Rs. 37,400 – 67,000/-, GP 8700/- (CDA)

The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as on the date of vacancy.
