Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for appointment of the following posts as per the UGC norms and 200 point reservation policy of Government of Tamil Nadu.

Name of the Post :Professor (Regular Basis)

  1. No of Post : 02
  2. Qualification :A Master’s Degree in Arts/ Humanities/ Sciences/ Commerce and M.Ed. each with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed), ORM.A. (Education) with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and B.Ed. each with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed);Ph.D in Education; and Atleast ten years of teaching experience in  university department of education or college of education of which a minimum of five years at the M.Ed level with published work in the relevant area of hisspecialization
  3. Remuneration :Rs.37400-67000 +AGPRs.10,000/-

Name of the Post :Associate Professor  (Regular Basis)

  1. No of Post : 01
  2. Qualification :A Master’s Degree in Arts/ Humanities/ Sciences/ Commerce and M.Ed. each with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed), ORM.A. (Education) and B.Ed each with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed); Ph.D in Education; and Atleast eight years of teaching experience in  University department of education or  College of Education, with a minimum of three years at the M.Ed level and has published work in the relevant area of specialization.
  3. Remuneration :Rs.37400-67000 +AGPRs.9,000/-

Name of the Post :Assistant Professor(Regular Basis)  / Assistant Professor (Consolidated Pay  Basis)

  1. No of Post : 05
  2. Qualification :(i) A Master’s Degree in Arts/ Humanities/ Sciences/ Commerce and M.Ed. each with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed), (OR)M.A. (Education) and B.Ed each with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed);(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.(iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in subclauses (i) and (ii) to candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/Institutions
  3. Remuneration :Rs.15600-39100 +AGPRs.6,000/-(Regular Basis)Rs.32,000/-(On Consolidated Pay basis)

HOW TO APPLY :

  1. The Syndicate reserves the right to shortlist the candidates and to fill up or not the posts without assigning any reason whatsoever.
  2. Applications should be made only in the format prescribed by the University.
  3. The University will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay in transit.
  4. Candidates sending the application by post/speed post/courier should see that the application reaches this University on the prescribed last date. Applications received after the last date will be summarily rejected.
  5. Further outstation candidates are informed to get their application forms well in advance and ensure that the filled in applications reaches before the prescribed last date. Late applications will not be entertained.
  6. Enquiries on the above subject will not be entertained.
  7. Since the selection of candidates is based purely on merit, attempts to canvass or bring influence on the authorities to show favour during selection will be deemed as disqualification and the application of such candidates will be rejected.
  8. Staff recruited on or after 1.4.2003 are covered under new Contributory Pension Scheme based on defined contribution (G.O. Ms. No.395 of Finance (Education- I) Department dated 6.09.2003).
  9. Candidates already in service should submit their applications through proper channel. Otherwise they should produce NOC obtained from the employer at the time of interview, failing which the applicant will not be interviewed.
  10. Candidates should submit Community Certificate issued by the competent authority.
