Associate Professor

Applications are invited from the deserving candidates all over the country for the tenure post of Associate Professor (REC Chair) in the Department of Electrical Engineering on the proforma given below (to be typed on A-4 size paper). This is a purely temporary contractual post funded by the Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd. (REC), New Delhi for a maximum tenure of three years or up to attaining the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier subject to satisfactory performance reviewed on yearly basis. Associate Professor so appointed to the Chair shall coordinate effectively and meaningfully with the concerned departments and other agencies with a view to promote development of New and Breakthrough technologies in different aspects of rural electrification covering generation, distribution, transmission including development & harnessing of new and renewable energy such as Solar, bio mass, mini hydro, agro waste etc. suitable to Indian rural conditions as per MOU with REC.   2. Pay-scale: Rs. 37400 – 67000 + AGP Rs. 9000. The essential & desirable qualifications are as below:
  3. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: BE/BTech and ME/MTech in Electrical Engineering or related field with first  class or equivalent either in BE/BTech or ME/MTech.  And Ph.D. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.  Post PhD publications and guiding PhD student is highly desirable.
  4. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching / research /industry out of which 2  years post PhD experience is desirable.
