Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) of Madrassa Education for the unreserved posts in provincialised Madrassa institutions

With a view to offering quality education in the Provincialised Madrassa Institutions of Assam, the Govt. of Assam has fixed the minimum standard of qualification for teacher’s eligibility for the Madrassa Institutions under the Directorate of Madrassa Education in accordance with NCTE Regulation.

Article 3 of the Assam Madrassa Education (Provincialisation) Act. 1995 refers that as per the provisions of Article 309 of the Constitution of India, all employees of Madrassa, now covered by deficit scheme of grants-in-aid under the Government of Assam shall be deemed to have become the employees of the Government on and from the appointed day on the following terms and conditions. Further section 3 (a) of the said Act. reads as: All rules including service rules and rules of conduct and discipline, which are applicable to the Government servants of corresponding grade, similarly placed shall be applicable to all employees of the Madrassa.

So, in the light of strength conferred by the Act. and to bring quality education to the doorsteps of Madrassa Institutions Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) for teachers positions in the Madrassa Institutions will be conducted tentatively in the Month of November 2014 by the Government of Assam, Secondary Education Department. Eligibility Criteria for Teachers in Madrassa Institutions : To appear in the TET for Madrassa Education for the following unreserved posts ,the eligibility criteria stands as stated below:

  1. Lecturer : The candidate must possess the requisite educational qualification of M.M with  minimum 60% marks from State Madrassa Education Board, Assam.
  2. M.M Assistant Teacher: The candidate should have the requisite educational  qualification of M.M with 55% marks from State Madrassa Education Board, Assam.
  3. F.M Assistant Teacher (Senior Section): The candidate should have the requisite  educational qualification of F.M from the State Madrassa Education Board, Assam OR  “Maulvi Fazil” from Al-Jamiatul Arabiatul Islamia, Badarpur(Karimganj) OR equivalent  certificate obtained from State Madrassa Education Board, Assam with 45% mark
  4. F.M Assistant Teacher (Pre Senior Section): The candidate should have the requisite  educational qualification of F.M from the State Madrassa Education Board, Assam OR  “Maulvi Fazil” from Al-Jamiatul Arabiatul Islamia, Badarpur(Karimganj) OR equivalent  certificate obtained from State Madrassa Education Board, Assam with 45% marks.
  5. Assistant Teacher, B.A.: The candidate should have the requisite educational  qualification of B.A. with 45% marks from any recognized University. Preference will be given  to the candidates who have passed HSLC/AHM examination with Arabic as one of the  subject.
  6. Assistant Teacher, B.Sc: The candidate should have the requisite educational  qualification of B.Sc (Bio/Royal) with 45% marks from any recognized University. Preference  will be given to the candidates who have passed HSLC/AHM examination with Arabic as one  of the subject.
  7. Assistant Teacher, Hindi: The candidate should have the requisite educational  qualification of Probin/Ratna with Higher Secondary (HS) obtaining minimum 45% marks or  BA with Hindi with 45% marks.
  8. Assistant Teacher, (ALT) Assamese Language Teacher: The candidate should have  the requisite educational qualification of B.A. with 45% marks and having Assamese subject  as MIL in HSLC/AHM OR any equivalent Degree with 45% marks recognized by the Govt. Preference will be given to the candidates who have passed HSLC/AHM examination with   Arabic as one of the subject.
  9. Assistant Teacher, H.S. (Pre-Senior Section): The candidate should have the requisite  educational qualification of Higher Secondary (HS) with 45% marks. Preference will be given  to the candidates who have passed HSLC/AHM examination with Arabic as one of the  subject.

Who Can Apply

  1. The Candidate must be Citizen of India.
  2. He/she must have the requisite educational qualification as prescribed above.
  3. Age of the candidate should not be above 38 years as on 01.01.2014.
  4. Minimum qualifying marks for passing the TET for Madrassa level : To qualify in  Special TET Examination, the candidate must score at least 60% marks. However,  5% relaxation in marks will be given to candidates belonging to PWD (Person With  Disability) / PH(Physically Handicapped).
  5. Persons with Disability (PWD) / Physically Handicapped(PH): Only  following category of PWD/PH persons can apply for appearing at the TET of  Madrassa level:
  6. Those who are orthopaedically impaired or have locomotor disablity. In  this regard the candidate shall obtain a certificate from competent  government authority like from Social welfare Deptt/ Orthopaedic  surgeon for submission to the Mission Director,RMSA,Assam. The  candidate whose degree of physical disability is more than 40% are  only eligible to apply, under this category.

Validity: All candidates who will pass the TET of Madrassa level will be awarded a  certificate. The validity of the certificate shall be for a maximum period of 2(two) years from  the date of issue of the certificate by the Empowered Committee, Government of Assam subject to the condition that the candidate otherwise fulfils the eligibility criteria prescribed for  recruitment to the services in Government of Assam.

Important Notes:

  1. For the post of Lecturer and M.M(Assistant teacher) there will be a single question  paper of 100 marks. The qualified candidates who have 60% marks or above in  academic degree will apply for the post of Lecturer and those who have 55% marks or above will apply for the post of M.M.(Assistant teacher).
  2. For the post of F.M Assistant Teacher(senior section ) and F.M Assistant Teacher (pre  senior section) there will be a single question paper of 100 marks. A candidate may give preference of posts in the application form.
  3. For the posts of Assistant Teacher (B.A) and Assistant Teacher (B.Sc), there will be a  single question paper of 100 marks.
  4. For the posts of Assistant Teacher (Hindi) and Assistant Teacher (Alt. Assamese), there will be a single question paper of 100 marks, with an option between Hindi  Literature and Assamese Literature.
  5. For the post of Assistant Teacher H.S. (Pre Senior Section) the Question Paper will  be of 50 marks.
  6. Place of examination: At Guwahati.

IMPORTANT POINTS:

  1. Teachers’ Eligibility Test of Madrassa Education shall be an eligibility test  only, merely passing this test shall not entitle any person to claim  appointment as a Teacher.
  2. Fees per Application form : Rs 400 only
  3. Syllabus for the TET examination is available in the following website www.rmsaassam.in
  4. Candidates are hereby requested to follow the following steps while filling up the  application form
  5.  Visit RMSA, Assam’s website www.rmsaassam.in and click online application  for Madrassa TET link.
  6. Download the Instruction Manual and read it carefully.
  7. Fill the Online Application Form carefully.
  8. Then upload your scanned photograph and signature.
  9. Size of photograph and signature should not be greater than 35KB, 30KB  respectively. The photograph and signature should be either in ‘.jpeg’ or ‘.jpg’  format.
  10. After submitting Online Application Form, you have to take printout of online  SBI Bank Challan & deposit Rs.400 at any branch of State bank of India from Second Working Day onwards, from the day of submission of online  application form.
  11. Please note that if candidates commit any mistake in filling the online  Application Form, it cannot be corrected by this office. The Office will take no  responsibility of any kind for such forms. The candidate can submit application  afresh.
