Junior Research Fellow:

1. Project Title: Group Actions on Manifolds and Automorphisms of Groups.
2. Project Details: The broad proposal is to investigate compact group actions on manifolds. Particularly, we plan to investigate problems related to existence of equivariant maps and structure of finite groups acting freely on manifolds. Some aspects of cohomology of groups will also be investigated.
3. Position(s): 01 (One)
4. Duration: One year. Extendable to second year after evaluation.
5. Emoluments: As per DST rules.
6. Essential Qualifications: M.A. /M.Sc. in Pure Mathematics with excellent academic record. The candidate should have keen interest in Algebraic Topology and a strong background in master’s level algebraic topology and algebra. Candidates with an experience of working in topology will be preferred.
