Indian Oil’s Pipelines Division owns and operates the largest network of over 11,214 kms of Crude Oil, Petroleum Product and Gas Pipelines.

Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for the following position in non-executive category in Barauni Kanpur Pipeline (BKPL) of Pipeline Division

Application Fee (non-refundable) of `100/-(Rupees One Hundred only) through Demand Draft in favour of INDIAN OIL CORPORATION LIMITED (PIPELINES DIVISION) payable at State Bank of India, Barauni Refinery Campus Branch, Barauni, Begusarai (Branch Code: 1502) should be enclosed along with application form. Any other mode of payment is not acceptable and application not accompanying the application fee will be rejected without any further reference to the applicant.


 Ex-servicemen shall be allowed to deduct the period of his service in the armed forces of the Union from his actual age, and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than three years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding the age limit.


  1. The selection procedure will comprise of Written Test, Physical fitness and Personal Interview for Technical  Attendant–I. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test would be called for  Personal Interview and Physical Fitness. The candidate will have to pass through each stage for being adjudged as  suitable for selection. Further the appointment will be subject to be found medically fit.
  2. Filling up of vacancies is solely at the discretion of the Management based on suitability of candidates and no claim  will arise for appointment, if vacancies are not filled due to unsuitability/insufficient number of candidates.


In addition to the Basic Pay, DA, HRA, and other benefits like Provident Fund, Gratuity, LTC / LFA, liberalized medical benefits, productivity / performance linked incentive, leave encashment, superannuation benefits, Post Retirement Medical Attendance benefits etc. shall also be admissible as per the rules of the Corporation.

  3.   4. Applications which are not filled in the prescribed format will be summarily rejected.
  5. OBC candidates should submit their caste certificate issued by Competent Authority in the prescribed format  available on the website along with the application form, in support of their claim to avail relaxation/concession.
  6. For claiming the benefit of OBC category, the candidate must ensure that their caste certificate is as per prescribed  format and has been issued recently by the competent authority. The caste certificate should be as per the  performa prescribed by the Government of India, which would, among other specifically mention that the  candidate doesn’t belong to the person/sections (creamy layer) as mentioned in column 3 of the schedule to the  Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India IOM No. 36012/22/93-Estt. (SCT) dated 08/09/1993.  Our being a Government of India, Public sector undertaking, only communities mentioned in the common list shall  be treated as OBC for the purpose of reservation. OBC candidates also have to submit a declaration in addition to  the community certificate in the prescribed porforma.
  7. The cut-off date for reckoning educational qualification, experience, age etc. shall be 01.08.2014
  8. Candidate should note that the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate  or an equivalent certificate available on the date of submission of application will only be accepted for determining  the age and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.
  9. Ex-servicemen fulfilling eligibility criteria can apply against the above post along with relevant service certificates  and qualification documents prescribed above.
  10. Candidates serving in Government/Semi Government/Public Sector Organization/Local bodies must send their  application through proper channel or produce “No Objection Certificate” at the time of appearing in the  Test/Interview. In case the candidate fails to do so, his/her candidature will not be considered.
  11. Candidates who are selected for appearing in Physical fitness and Personal interview must bring all certificates in  original like Matric, Higher Secondary, ITI certificate, OBC Certificate, EXSM certificate etc. along with one attested  Xerox copies of certificates. The candidature of the candidate will be summarily rejected if he/she is unable to  submit the same on the day of interview. No relaxation, whatsoever would be granted.
  12. Service is transferable to anywhere in India. No preference for posting would be entertained.
  13. Application of a candidate having higher qualification than the prescribed qualification shall be rejected.
  14. The decision of the Management in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the application,  mode of selection etc. will be final and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  15. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidature.
  16. In case large numbers of applications are received, management reserves the right to fix the minimum percentage  of cut-off marks in the prescribed qualification for calling the candidate for test/interview.

AGE LIMIT: Minimum 18 years and maximum 26 years (relaxable by 1 year for candidates having requisite experience upto 2 years & relaxable by 2 years for candidates having experience of 2 years or more) as on 31-08-2014 (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, for the posts reserved for them). Age relaxation applicable for Ex-Serviceman as per Govt. directives.

  3. Training period shall not be counted towards experience. The candidature of only those  candidates who have completed Apprenticeship Training and have passed the All India Trade Test  conducted by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or Certificate of Proficiencey issued  by BOPT / BOAT shall be considered. Age relaxation equivalent to the period of Apprenticeship  training shall be given to Apprentices. However, no additional age relaxation will be allowed.None of the above vacancies are identified for Persons with Disabilities.
  4. For claiming the benefit of OBC category, the candidate should submit a latest caste certificate in the proforma  prescribed by Govt. of India, which would, among others, specifically mention that the candidate does not belong  to the persons/sections (creamy layer) as mentioned in column 3 of the schedule to the Department of Personnel  & Training, Government of India OM No. 36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated 8.9.1993. Candidates belonging to OBC  category but falling in creamy layer are not entitled to OBC reservation benefits. The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) is seeking qualified candidates for the post of DIRECTOR (HUMAN RESOURCES), INDIAN OIL CORPORATION LIMITED in schedule “A” of the CPSE, the scale of pay of the post being `. 75,000-1,00,000/-.(Revised) A copy of the job description for the post is enclosed.

PAY SCALE: (a) Central Public Sector Executives. Executives holding posts in the pay scale of: The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as on the date of vacancy. (b) Government Officers Government officers of the level of Joint Secretary in Govt. of India or on equivalent scale of pay or Major General in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force, on the date of application will be eligible for consideration on immediate absorption basis.
