77 Engineering Assistant, Quality Control Analyst

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals fulfilling the eligibility criteria for the under mentioned posts at Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Haldia Refinery.

Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Production) – 48

        1. (UR- 24, SC – 11, ST – 02, OBC – 11)
        2. Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed 3 Yrs. Diploma in Chemical / Refinery & Petrochemical Engg. OR B.SC. (Math, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry) from a recognized Indian Institute/University as a regular course with minimum 60% marks in aggregate for Gen/OBC & 55% marks in aggregate for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
        3. Experience: Minimum 01 year of post qualificationexperience in operation (rotating shift ) of pump house , Fired Heater , Compressor, Distillation Column, Reactor, Heat exchanger etc. in a Petroleum Refinery, Petrochemicals / Fertilizer / Heavy Chemical /GasProcessing Industry .
        4. Pay Scale: INR 11900-32000/- Per Month
        5. Age Limit: 18-26 Years

Junior Quality Control Analyst-IV – 02

        1. (UR-01, PH-01 (OH))
        2. Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed B.Sc with Chemistry with minimum 60% marks in aggregate for Gen & 55% marks in aggregate for PWD candidates OR M.SC. (Chemistry) with minimum 55% marks in aggregate for Gen & 50% marks in aggregatefor PWD candidates from a recognized Indian institute/University as a regular course.
        3. Experience: Minimum 01 year of post qualificationexperience in handling state of the art instruments viz. HPLC , XRF, WDXRF, GC, ICAP, AAS, Auto Analyzers D-86/1160 and flash points etc in Petroleum/ Petrochemical / Gas Cracker / Large Industrial Units.
        4. Pay Scale: INR 11900-32000/- Per Month

Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (F&S) – 01

        1. (UR-01)
        2. Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed Matric plus Sub-Officer’s course from NFSC, Nagpur or from other recognized Indian institute (with 60% marks in aggregate) as a regular course , with valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License
        3. Experience: Minimum 01 year of post qualificationexperience of working in Fire & Saferty setup of handling firefighting equipments , fire water net-works , related communication systems , emergency handling , Fire Fighting , Operations of Fire Tenders / Pumphouse etc. in a Petroleum/Petrochemical/ Chemical / Fertilizer /Gas processing / Large Industrial Units.

Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (MECH-CC) – 06

        1. (UR- 03, SC – 02, OBC – 01)
        2. Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Indian Institute / University or Matric with ITI in Fitter Trade as a regular course with minimum 60% marks in aggregate for Gen/OBC & 55% marks in aggregate for candidates belonging to SC category.
        3. Experience: Minimum 01 yr. of post qualification experience for Diploma holders and (Two) 02 years for candidateswith ITI qualification in maintenance of rotary equipment like compressors , Gas / Steam turbines , Pumps etc. and Stationary equipments like Boilers , Heat exchangers , Columns , Vessels , Piping etc. , Mechanical Seals / Dry Gas Seals , Bearings ( Journal / Anti friction ) , Safety Valves etc. in a Petrochemicals / Petroleum Refinery / Large Industrial Units.

Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (INST) – 03

        1. (UR-02, SC-01)
        2. Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed 3 years Diploma in Instrumentation /Instrumentation &Electronics/Instrumentation Control from a recognized Indian Institute/University as a regular course with minimum 60% marks in aggregate for Gen & 55% marks in aggregate for candidates belonging to SC category.
        3. Experience: Minimum 01 yr. of post qualification experience in maintenance of modern instrumentation control systems like DCS , PLC with electronic field instrumentation, control valve, smart positioners, loop configuration , on line analyzers condition monitoring in a modern Chemical/Petroleum/Petrochemical / Fertilizer /Power Plants / Oil and Natural Gas Exploration Companies / Large industrial Units.
        4. Pay Scale: INR 11900-32000/- Per Month

Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (ELEC)/P&U (Electrical) – 04

        1. (UR- 02, SC – 01, OBC – 01)
        2. Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Indian Institute / University as a regular course with minimum 60% marks in aggregate for Gen/OBC & 55% marks in aggregate for candidatesbelonging to SC category.
        3. Experience: Minimum 01 yr. of post qualification experience in maintenance and operation of modern electrical systems such as high, medium and low voltage electrical power distribution equipment viz. HT / LT switch gear , transformers , motors , generators , protection systems , UPS , DC systems, lighting cabling,earthing etc. in a Petroleum / Petrochemical or in Large Industrial Units .
        4. Pay Scale: INR 11900-32000/- Per Month
        5. Age Limit: 18-26 Years

Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (P&U) – 13

        1. (UR- 07, SC – 03, ST – 01, OBC – 02)
        2. Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed 3 years Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from recognized Indian Institute / University as a regular course with 60% marks in aggregate (Gen/OBC) & 55% marks in aggregate for candidates belonging to (SC & ST category.) Preference will be given to candidates possessing Boiler Competency Certificate
        3. Experience: Minimum 01 (One) year post qualification experience (after diploma) in operation/maintenance of Thermal Power Station (DM Plant / RO Plant / Air Compressors / Steam Turbines / Gas Turbines) in Petroleum Refinery / Petro chemicals / Large industrial units.
        4. Pay Scale: INR 11900-32000/- Per Month
        5. Age Limit: 18-26 Years

SELECTION METHODOLOGY:

        1. Selection would be based on Written Test/Trade Test and Personal interview. The candidates will have to pass successfully through each stage of the selection process including medical fitness for being adjudged suitable for selection. The candidature of the applicant would be provisional and subject to verification of certificates / testimonials, experience etc.
        2. Filling up of vacancies is solely at the discretion of the management based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for appointment, if vacancies are not filled due to unsuitability/insufficient number of candidates.

Application Fee:

SC/ST/PWD/EXSM (Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Person With Disability / Ex- Serviceman) candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Candidates from other categories should submit a crossed Demand Draft of Rs.100/- (Rs. One Hundred Only) as application fee (non-refundable) in favour of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Payable at State Bank of India, Haldia Refinery Campus Branch. (Branch Code: 7090). Candidates must write their full name and address on the back side of the Demand Draft. The Demand draft (where applicable) must be submitted along with the print out of the on-line application form at the time of appearing for the Written Test and should be the same demand draft as mentioned in the on-line application form.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

        1. Candidates are advised to carefully read the full advertisement for details of educational qualification and other eligibility criteria before submission of on-line application.
        2. For the unreserved posts, SC/ST/OBC candidates shall be considered under General standard of merit and no relaxation shall be extended to them on the basis of belonging to SC/ST/OBC category.
        3. Applicants from Government / Semi Government / Public Sector Organization must produce “No Objection Certificate” at the time of appearing in the Interview. In case the candidate fails to do so, his candidature will not be considered.
        4. Diploma in different trades is to be of 3 years duration. In case of institutes offering 02 years diploma courses in the above mentioned trades, certification of equivalence (to a 03 years course) from AICTE is essential, failing which the application is liable to be rejected.
        5. Canvassing in any form is liable to render the candidate ineligible for any of the above posts.
        6. Candidates belonging to OBC category should submit proper caste certificate as per the proforma of Govt. of India which should among others specifically mention that he does not belong to the persons/sections (creamy layer) as mentioned in column 3 of the schedule to the department of personnel and training in the Govt. of India OM No 36012/22/93-Estt (SCT dtd. 08/09/1993).
        7. Candidates possessing professional qualifications such as B.E. or equivalent, MBA or equivalent / MCA shall not be considered for the above notified posts.
        8. One candidate can apply for one post only. Candidates applying for more than one post will not be considered for any of the posts.
        9. The decision of the Management in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection etc. will be final.
        10. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment or thereafter, that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and / or that he has furnished any incorrect / doctored / false information / certificate / documents or has suppressed any material fact(s), his candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is / are detected even after appointment, his services are liable to be terminated.
        11. The Written Test/ Trade Test /Personal Interview are likely to be held in the month of January 2015. The exact date, place and time will be communicated subsequently

        2. After successfully applying/registering on-line application, the candidate must take a print out of the filled in on-line application form, affix his photograph, sign at the specified place provided for the purpose and produce the same at the time of Written Test. Copies of certificates pertaining to age, qualification, caste, experience, demand draft (where applicable) etc. must be attached along with the print out of the on-line application form to be submitted at the time of appearing for the Written Test. Original certificates are also required to be brought at the time of Written Test / Trade Test/ Interview for verification.
