Administrative Assistants

IDRBT, the premier Institute of Banking Technology, invites applications for the following Two Regular Administrative Positions:

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Caretaker)

  1. No. of Position: One
  2. Reservation: This position is reserved for OBC [Non-Creamy Layer] candidates
  3. ELIGIBILITY :  Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks or its equivalent
  4. Experience  : A minimum of 15 years experience as a Caretaker in a reputed educational  institution with hands–on experience in: Supervising various areas of Facilities Management including  Housekeeping, Gardening, Civil Works, Sanitation, Plumbing, Carpentry,  Campus Cleanliness and Upkeep, Air-Conditioning, Power Supply, Fire Safety, Telephone Connectivity, Security, etc.  Coordinating with various facilities-related service providers. Liaisoning with various government bodies. Hostel Management, handling students’ matters such as discipline,  welfare, etc  Supporting dignitary and top management visits. Carrying out day-to-day administrative works  The candidate needs to be tech-savvy and be well-versed with using MS Word, e mails, Internet, etc. The candidate needs to have good communication and drafting skills. The candidate needs to be well-versed with modern office procedures and work  environment.
  5. Pay : Pay Band 1 of Rs 5200- 20200 and Grade Pay of Rs 2800
  6. Age Limit: Not Above 50 years as on Sept. 30, 2014

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Driver-cum-Assistant)

  1. No. of Position: One
  2. Reservation: This position is reserved for SC candidates
  3. ELIGIBILITY:  Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% of marks or its equivalent with a valid  Driving License for Heavy Motor Vehicle.
  4. Experience:  At least 15 years of experience as a Driver-cum-Assistant in a reputed institution [including driving LMV] with hands–on experience of: Driving vehicles of top management officers. Knowledge of motor mechanism (should be able to remove minor  defects in vehicles).Assisting top management officers in their day-to-day work.Supporting dignitary and top management visits.Carrying out day-to-day administrative works  The candidate needs to be tech-savvy and be well-versed using MS Word, e mails, Internet, etc. The candidate needs to have good communication and drafting skills. The candidate needs to be well-versed with modern office procedures and work  environment.
  5. Pay : Pay Band 1 of Rs 5200- 20200 and Grade Pay of Rs 2800
  6. Age Limit: Not Above 45 Years as on Sept. 30, 2014

Other Rules & Regulations

  1. Candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the post applied for. Mere fulfilment of eligibility does not guarantee shortlisting for the Selection Process.
  2. Candidates should apply for the positions only in the position specific format provided on the Institute’s website.
  3. Incomplete applications / not in the prescribed format/ without all the required  documents, will be rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained by  the Institute.
  4. Candidates belonging to the OBC category applying for the position of Administrative  Assistant (Caretaker) should submit along with the application an attested scanned copy/  copy of the OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate (obtained on or after April 01, 2013) in  the format prescribed by the Government of India issued by a Competent Authority.  Candidates under the OBC category are required to note that OBC Certificate format  prescribed by the Government of India is different from the BC certificate issued by the  respective State Governments. Therefore, candidates belonging to the non-creamy layer OBC category should submit the OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate in the format  prescribed by the Government of India only.
  5. Candidates belonging to the SC category applying for the position of Administrative  Assistant (Driver-cum-Assistant) should submit along with the application an attested  scanned copy/copy of their caste certificate from a Revenue Officer not below the rank  of Tahsildar / Mandal Revenue Officer. Further, SC candidates belonging to the states of  Telangana and Andhra Pradesh should submit attested scanned copy/copy of the  Integrated Community Certificate issued by the Competent Revenue Authority.
  6. Candidates for both the positions should also enclose attested scanned copies/ copies of  their Matriculation and Graduation Consolidated Marksheet / Certificate. Candidates  applying for the position of Administrative Assistant (Driver-cum-Assistant) should also  enclose an attested scanned copy/ copy of their valid Driving License for Heavy Motor  Vehicle.
  7. The candidature will be considered on the strength of the information declared in the  Application. If at any stage, it is found that any information furnished in the application  is false / incorrect or if according to the Institute, the candidate does not satisfy the  eligibility criteria, his/her candidature/appointment is liable to be cancelled / terminated  at any point in time.
  8. All educational qualifications must have been obtained from recognized  universities/institutions in India or abroad. If grades are awarded instead of marks,  candidates should clearly indicate their numerical equivalent.
  9. Candidates employed in Government/ Semi-Government Organizations must apply  through proper channel.
  10. The Institute reserves the rights to screen and call only such candidates as are found  prima-facie suitable for being considered by the Selection Committee.
  11. The Institute also reserves the right to restrict the candidates called for to the selection  process to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than  the minimum prescribed herein and the requirements of the Institute. Thus, just  fulfilling the prescribed conditions would not entitle one to be called for Selection  Process.
  12. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised. The  Institute also reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post at any time without  assigning any reason.
  13. In all matters regarding Qualification, Eligibility, Skills, Experience, Age Limit,  Compensation, Selection Process, Assessment, Prescribing Minimum Qualifying  Standards in Selection Process, Communication of Result, etc., the Institute’s decision  shall be final and binding on the candidates and no correspondence shall be entertained  in this regard.
  14. No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct  & result of selection process and reasons for not being called for the selection process.
