b)     Good academic record throughout with a Ph. D degree in the concerned, i.e. Environmental Economics or Environmental Sciences or allied disciplines.

c)      A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or of research in a regular position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University/College or Accredited Research Institution with evidence of published work with a minimum of 5 publications as books (reputed publisher) and/or research/policy papers in (indexed/ISBN/ISSN numbered journals and as ISBN/ISSN numbered books) journals of international repute.

d)     Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – dedicated to teaching and learning process, with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.

Age Limit: Upper age limit is 40 years In case of ‘SC/ST/Backward Classes/Backward Tribes’ and ‘Persons with Disability’, the age limit is relaxable upto 5 years and 10 years respectively.

Duration: The appointment for the above posts will be on contract basis for a period of 5 years, including one year of probation. Depending on the evaluation at the end of the contract period, the appointment shall either be made permanent or the contract extended or terminated.

Pay Scale (Associate Professor): Rs.37400-67000 + AGP Rs.9,000 Gross amount in the beginning of the scale of pay is approximately Rs.1,07,120/- p.m. Exceptionally qualified candidates suitable for the post may be offered higher pay not exceeding four increments at the minimum of the time scale of pay.

Campus Facilities: On-campus housing will be provided subject to availability. Campus has Bank and Post Office facilities.

Selection Procedure: The shortlisted candidates will be informed to (a) deliver a pre-hire faculty seminar (job talk), and (b) interview. ISEC can host the short listed candidates for a couple of days for this purpose. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for the faculty seminar and interview. Depending upon the number of applications received in relation to number of vacancies, the Institute reserves the right to call only a limited number of candidates after preliminary screening with reference to their qualifications, suitability, experience, etc. The Selection Committee may consider suitable candidates from outside the shortened list. The decision of the Selection Committee shall be full and final and the Selection Committee has all authority on the selection of the candidate.
