Office Assistant

The categories of staff to be engaged purely on contractual /consolidated remuneration basis for working in the Department of Health Research.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENGAGEMENT OF STAFF:

  1. The engagement of staff will be governed by the following terms and conditions: a) Age limit (i) For Office Assistant. Minimum 25 years and not more than 62 years on the date of submission of application
  2. Status of Employment: The staff will be engaged on purely contractual basis (on consolidated salary) initially for a period of six months. They will not have any claim whatsoever for regularization of their services in the DHR.
  3. Leave: TheStaff/Officials shall be eligible for 8 days Leave in a calendar year on pro-rata basis and thereafter remuneration would be deducted on pro-rata basis. Unavailed leave in a calendar year cannot be carried forward to next year.
  4. Allowance: No transport, mobile, medical allowance or any other allowance shall be admissible.
  5. Termination of the contract: The appointment can be terminated by either side by giving one month’s notice or salary in lieu thereof.
  6. Selection Procedure: The Selection Committee consisting of Chairman plus two members shall be formed to make selection after following due procedures.
  7. Power to relax: Powers to relax any of the aforesaid provisions would vest with Secretary (HR) based on the reasons to be recorded in writing.

TERMS OF REFERENCE (TORs) OF THE POSTS: The detailed terms of reference, including the eligibility criteria, duties and responsibilities of the posts is as follows: 2

  1. Name: Office Assistant (i) Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent grade. At least five years’ experience in the same or allied field under the Government Department / Statutory or Autonomous bodies/Universities/Public Sector Undertakings/any reputed company/organization, etc. or a retired officer of the rank of assistant having at least 5 years experience in the establishment and general administration
  2. Salary: Rs. 25,000/- per month consolidated. He will not be exempt from taxation or entitled to reimbursement of any taxes which may be levied as per existing rules on the remuneration received.
  3. Responsibilities: Processing of case files relating to administrative and establishment matters such as management of housekeeping services , procurement of office equipment, furniture and miscellaneous stores, AMC of equipments, contracting for supplies and appointments, postings and transfer etc.
