 11  Master’s Degree or equivalent in Meteorology / Oceanography / Atmospheric Science / Physics/ Mathematics /Geophysics (with specialization in Meteorology) from a recognized university with at least first class (60%) at Post Graduation level. AND Three years’ experience in the field of Atmospheric Science/Meteorology/Oceanography. Familiarity with UNIX, FORTRAN. OR (ii) M.Tech degree and two years research experience in the relevant field as per (i) above with familiarity in UNIX, Fortran/C/C++ OR (iii) Ph.D in the relevant field as per (i) above with familiarity in UNIX.Fortran/C/C++ Desirable: Work experience in Meteorological Data processing, Assimilation of conventional and satellite data in Atmospheric General Circulation Models, Numerical Modeling of the atmosphere and ocean, Coupled ocean atmosphere modeling.  Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600- 39100 with GP Rs. 6600/-

Project Technical Officer/Project Scientist-C High Performance Computing System 2 Essential Qualifications: (i) MCA /B.Tech.(CS)/M.Tech.(CS)/M.Sc. degree in Computer Science/Physics/ Mathematics from a recognized University /Institution (ii) 3 years of experience in scientific computing environment or related field. Experience in UNIX, FORTRAN, Shell Scripting, and scripting languages like Perl, Python, Mathematica, Java etc. Desirable Qualifications: Familiarity with various mathematical and statistical libraries. Experience in different message passing environments like MPI, Open MP, PVM, parallel programs in FORTRAN and C. Knowledge of the concepts in parallel programming e.g., communication between processors, concurrency, load balancing, scalability etc. Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600- 39100 with GP Rs. 6600
Project Scientist-D High Performance Computing System 2 Essential Qualifications: (i) MCA/B.Tech..(CS)/M.Tech.(CS)/M.Sc. degree in Computer Science/Physics/ Mathematics from a recognized University/Institution. (ii) 7 years of experience in scientific computing environment (as evidenced by published papers). Familiarity with UNIX and FORTRAN, C, C++, OOP, Python, shell scripting etc. Desirable Qualifications: Familiarity with various mathematical and statistical libraries. Experience in different message passing environments like MPI, Open MP, PVM, parallel programs in FORTRAN and C. Knowledge of the concepts in parallel programming e.g. communication between processors, concurrency, load balancing, scalability etc. Leads projects related to the deployment of new systems (hardware and software), the upgrade of existing systems, and the integration among various systems. Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600- 39100 with GP Rs. 7600/-

Age Limit (as on closing date):

Age on the date of Walk-in-Interview should not exceed 35 years for Scientist ”C”. The age limit for Scientist “D” shall be 40 years as on date of advertisement. Age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC candidates shall be as per GOI norms.
