Applications are invited from highly motivated and academically sound candidates with an interest to conduct high impact research on the topics of environmental importance. The research may pursue Ph.D degree with the generation of high quality skilled human resource in the field of environmental materials science and metrology in chemistry. These two themes are high priority research areas of NEERI. The project (s) details and required essential qualifications are given below:

Molecularly imprinted polymer for adsorption removal of highly toxic pollutants and greenhouse gases Project No.: ESC-0108 (CSIR Project on Molecular Environmental Science and Engineering)
Standard reference materials for benzo[a]pyrene in air and sediment samples Project No.: PSC-0111 (NEERI-NPL collaborative Project; Metrology in Chemistry)
M.Sc in Chemistry/Polymer chemistry/ Environmental chemistry/Analytical chemistry/Pharmaceutical sciences with 2 Years of experience or B.Tech/B.E in Chemical Engineering with minimum 55% with two years of experience.
Desired Qualifications :
Experience in Organic synthesis; Polymer science and engineering; Environmental trace analysis about two years.
Fixed Remuneration: Rs. 14,000/- p.m
Age Limit :32 Years (PAs-Level III) Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per GoI guidelines
No. of Positions : PA-III – 2 (TWO)
The engagement is purely on temporary basis, which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the sponsored/consultancy project, satisfactory performance /conduct of the appointee. The tenure of project assistant at the time of appointment shall be for a period of one year and coterminus with the project, whichever is earlier.
The engagement shall not be an appointment in CSIR/NEERI, temporary or otherwise. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit for consideration/observation
