Detail Of National Gallery of Modern Art Senior Photographer Recruitment:
Subject: Filling up of two posts of Senior Photographer one each in National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai and Bangaluru under Ministry of Culture – regarding.
Applications are invited for appointment to the two posts of Senior Photographer, a General Central Group “B” Non-Gazetted Non-Ministerial post in Pay Band 2: Rs. 9300 – 34800/- + Grade Pay of Rs.4200/- one each in National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai and Bengaluru, Sub-ordinate offices under Ministry of Culture. The post is required to be filled up on Deputation (including short term contract). The candidate to be selected may be transferred and posted at any of the branches of NGMA at New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru or at any other new branch to be opened in future in the exigency of work.
The National Gallery of Modern Art, a premier museum of India under the Ministry of Culture with rich and exquisite collection of contemporary paintings, is seeking qualified candidates for the posts of Senior Photographer at Mumbai and Bengaluru. The incumbents will be responsible for handling of photographic aids e.g. tripods, focus lighting etc; pasting of photo on mount paper; preparation of albums; maintenance of (i) consumption register (ii) records of photographic documentations of incoming and outgoing exhibitions and (iii) records of issue of photographs to scholars and researchers etc. and for making arrangement/placement of art objects for photography.
Officers under the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Public Sector Undertakings or Recognized Research Institutions or Universities or SemiGovernment or Statutory or Autonomous organisations:-‘
a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or (ii) with six years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in the Pay Band-1, Rs.5200-20200/- with grade pay of Rs. 2800/- or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or (iii) with ten years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in the Pay Band-1, Rs.5200-20200/- with grade pay of Rs.2400/- or equivalent in the parent cadre or department ; and
b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:-
(i) Passed Senior Secondary (10+2) School Examination from a recognized Board; (ii) At least Diploma in photography from a recognized institute or university; and (iii) Two years experience in photography of works of arts ,including digital documentation or Senior Secondary School Examination pass from a recognized Board with certificate in photography from recognized institute or university and 3 years experience of photography of works of arts, including digital documentation.
A Degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts with Photography as one of the subjects from a recognised university.
