Detail of Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project (OFSDP) Deputy Project Director Recruitment:
Odisha Forestry Sector Development Society (OFSDS), an autonomous organization constituted by Forest and Environment Department, Government of Odisha for implementation of OFSDP and now Ama Jangala Yojana Scheme. The State Government has now decided to implement ‘Ama Jangala Yojana’ in 3 phases in 5000 VSSs in the State of Odisha over a period of 8 to 9 years. The objective of the scheme is to simultaneously, restore degraded forest while improving the income level of the villagers by promoting sustainable forest management by strengthening Joint Forest Management (JFM) and improvement of Livelihoods of forest dependent communities.
During the implementation of the Ama Jangala Yojana Scheme services of technical personnel are required. Hence, the Society invites applications for contractual engagement of the following posts to be posted at the Project Management Unit, OFSDS, Ghatikia, Bhubaneswar with jurisdiction over the entire State:

Responsibilities including technical scrutiny of annual work plans received from field units. Facilitate timely release of funds to DMUs.Scrutinizing and assessing the financial and technical feasibility of IGA proposed bySHGs through DMUs. Collect and disseminate information of resource based IGAs to the field units pertaining to marketing for IGA products. Coordinating with agencies like TDC, OFDC, ORAMAS Reviewing and monitoring progress of the implementation. Compilation of the physical and financial progress submitted by DMUs Developing the data base for programming, planning and monitoring. Any other works as may be assigned.||Post Graduate Degree in Rural Development/Forestry, with minimum 5years experience of working in Govt. & / or reputed non-Governmental sector. Previous experience on Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of programmes / projects is essential. |Deputy Project Director (Forest Technology & Training)||Organizing Trainings/ Work-shops/ Seminars for DMUs / FMUs / VSSs in collaboration with Partner NGOs. Organize exposure visits for DMUs, FMUs and VSS members. Conduct post training evaluation Conduct / Coordinate forest research in the field of ecology / biodiversity / team improvement. Any other works as may be assigned.||Post Graduate Degree in Agriculture/ Forestry / MBA with minimum 10 years experience in Govt. or non-Governmental sectors related to Natural Resource Management. Expertise in designing, planning, execution and monitoring, training modules for officials, community stakeholders and NGO is essential.
