Junior Research Officer & More Vacancies

Uttarakhand University of Horticulture & Forestry (UUHF) is a State Government University established in 2011. Applications are invited from eligible candidates on the prescribed application format which can be downloaded from University’s website.

Name of the Post : Programme Coordinator

      1. No of Post : 02
      2. Qualification : Doctoral degree in Agricultural disciplines with 8 years experience in the relevant field as Scientist/ Assistant Professor/ Extension specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band-3 of Rs. 15600-39100 with grade pay of Rs. 5400/ Rs. 6000/ Rs. 7000/ Rs. 8000 having made contribution to research/ teaching/ extension education as evidenced by published work/ innovations.
      3. Desirable: Experience in implementing Agricultural Extension Programmes.
      4. Age : As per ICAR norms, the candidate must not have attained the age of 47 years as on closing date
      5. Remuneration : 37400-67000 (9000)

Name of the Post : Subject Matter Specialist

      1. No of Post : 03
      2. Qualification : Master’s degree in Animal Husbandry & Vet. Sc/ Master’s degree in Soil Science.
      3. Age : Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years but not have attained the age of 40 years as on closing date.
      4. Remuneration : 15600-39100 (5400)

Name of the Post :  Senior Research Officer

      1. No of Post : 04
      2. Qualification : Doctorate degree in subject concerned or related discipline, 8 years Teaching/ Research/ Extension/ Industry (R&D) experience as Assistant Professor or equivalent. Research papers published in NAAS rated/ reputed journals will be treated as evidence of research work.
      3. Age : As per ICAR norms, the candidate must not have attained the age of 47 years as on closing date
      4. Remuneration : 37400-67000 (9000)

Name of the Post : Junior Research Officer

  1. No of Post : 01
  2. Qualification : Doctorate degree in subject concerned or Master’s degree in concerned subject with at least 55% makes or equivalent. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate and Master’s level for the SC/ ST/ Differently – abled (Physically and visually differently abled) candidates. For the candidates having Master’s degree, NET shall remain compulsory. Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D degree with course work along with at least two full length publications having a NAAS rating of not less than 4.
  3. Age : Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years but not have attained the age of 40 years as on closing date.
  4. Remuneration : 15600-39100 (6000)

How to apply :

Duly filled applications along-with recent passport sized self attested photograph, supporting enclosures (self-attested copies of degree/certificates/marks sheets/experience certificate, reprint of important publications, etc.) and prescribed application fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 750/- for SC/ST candidates) through crossed bank draft drawn in favour of Comptroller, Uttarakhand University of Horticulture & Forestry, payable at Bharsar, Punjab National Bank, Branch Code No 7699 – should reach by speed/registered post to the Project Office, Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry, 14/3, Old Survey Road, Dehradun-248001, Uttarakhand latest by 27.10.2014. Please note that all these posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the respective projects

Following terms & conditions shall be applicable:-

      1. Application fee as prescribed should be enclosed with the application form. Application forms received without the  prescribed fee shall be rejected. Fee once paid will not be refunded in any case.
      2. Applications, if not on prescribed format or incomplete or received after due date will not be considered. The University  shall not be responsible for postal delay, if any.
      3. Self attested photocopy of relevant documents pertaining to age, educational qualifications, employment record, caste  certificate (if applicable) etc should accompany the application form. However, original certificates should be produced at  the time of interview for verification.
      4. In-service candidates should send their application through proper channel. However, advance copy alongwith application  fee should reach Associate Director Personnel, Project Office, Uttarakhand University of Horticulture & Forestry before the closing date.
      5. The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill any post so advertised.
      6. The reservation policy of the State Government shall be applicable.
      7. If the number of candidates applying for a post is large, the university reserves the right to shortlist the candidates on the  merit-based criteria for personal interview.
      8. Envelope containing application should be superscribed as “Application for the post of (Name of Post) for Bharsar/  Ranichauri.’’
      9. No T.A./D.A. will be paid to the candidates called for interview/ test.
      10. Appointments to all KVKs posts shall be coterminous with the KVK projects. Similarly, appointments to all AICRPs posts shall also be coterminous with the AICRPs projects. So the incumbent applying either for KVKs or AICRPs or both shall  have no right implicit or explicit to claim for automatic absorption of his/ her services in the University on a regular post.  However, in case of a vacancy of any regular position in the University when such position is advertised, he/ she shall be  free to apply for the same and shall have to go through the prescribed selection process.
      11. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be  called for interview. Where the number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large and it will not be  convenient or possible to interview all the candidates, the University, at its discretion, may restrict the number of  candidates to a reasonable limit, which may vary from post to post, on the basis of qualifications, experience, publications  etc. The University may constitute a screening committee to scrutinize the applications or process administratively  depending upon the number of applications. The University may also hold written/qualifying examination to bring number  of candidates within a reasonable limit.
      12. The process of selection may include a presentation/seminar/written examination/skill test /interview or a combination of  any or all of thereof.
      13. Canvassing in any form may lead to cancellation of candidature.
      14. Qualifications/experiences etc. shall be reckoned as on last date of submission of applications.
      15. The University may verify the antecedents or documents submitted by the candidate at any time during tenure of service. In  case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has a clandestine  antecedent/background for which he has been convicted by any court and has suppressed the said information, then his/her  services shall be liable to be terminated.
      16. All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of court of District Pauri Garhwal (Uttarakhand State).
